Here at Lisal B. Isaacs, DMD, PA, I am proud to say that we have always made the safety of our patients and our team a number one priority. We have always had strict infection control policies that adhere to the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control, the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Health and Human Services Department, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standards (OSHA). We annually attend OSHA meetings and further refreshed our competence in infection control in October of 2019 by re-credentialing our SPICE certification, which is a 6 hour Statewide Program for Infection Control and Epidemiology (SPICE) training offered by North Carolina state for healthcare offices. In the wake of the new coronavirus COVID-19, we have installed iWave air purifiers on each of our air handlers and are utilizing BlueAir air purifiers in the clinic as well. We are using high volume evacuation accessories such as DryShild and Vanguard Extraoral Dental Suctions for aerosol reduction. We are diligently screening all patients and delivery personnel, as well as taking daily temperature readings of our team and monitoring the health and wellness of all team members and their families.

We are working very hard to be able to return to our previous volume of patient care, but ask that our patients be patient with us as we navigate a new patient flow in our office. You will notice the absence of anything touchable in our waiting area and we will continue to ask patients to call when they arrive at the office and wait in their car until a team member comes out to escort them into the office. We are also asking that only those receiving treatment come to the office unless an escort is needed or a parent or guardian is required for treatment to be rendered.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding in the new standards we are following to try and ensure the highest level of safety for our patients and team members. We are so grateful for our patient community and so honored that you have chosen us to be a part of your oral health care and we will do everything in our power to keep you safe while providing dental care.
